The SphereTec Auto Tube Cleaning System automatically cleans condenser tubes while the chiller is running, helping reduce scaling and fouling before they affect performance — supporting better heat exchange, smoother operation, and reduced reliance on manual shutdown cleaning.

The ATCS Cleaning Process

A continuous, self-contained loop that keeps condenser tubes clean — cycle after cycle, with no shutdowns.

Ball Storage and Monitoring

The cleaning balls are stored in a ball station equipped with a viewing window, allowing easy inspection of both their quantity and condition.

Ball Movement

At predetermined intervals, the main condenser pump creates kinetic movement that pushes the balls into the main pipe.

Cleaning Throughout Condenser Tubes

The water flow carries the balls through the main pipe and into the condenser tubes, where they are distributed randomly throughout the system.

Cleaning Action

As the balls travel through the tubes, they effectively remove residue, deposits, scaling, and fouling buildup.

Ball Collection

Upon exiting the condenser, the balls are collected in a ball catch with no moving parts — keeping them secure and preventing any possibility of escape.

Ball Return and Rinse

The control system activates a motorised valve, triggering the return of the balls to the ball station via a PLC-controlled pump.

Ready for the Next Cycle

After the cleaning cycle is complete, the refreshed balls remain in the ball station until they are needed for the next cleaning process.
